about
Unique Types is a collaborative project for creating font types inspired by children with disabilities.
what is about
Inviting the international design community to engage.
backstage
We invited the international design community to create font types inspired by the children under the care of AACD, the Brazilian Association for the Welfare of Disabled Children. The font types were published under a Creative Commons license, so that anyone could use them freely.
.
We created 10 videos to invite the most popular Creative Directors of Brazil to join the project. The videos was launched at Twitter and we encourage people to spread it until the video get to each Creative Director. 9 out 10 CDs accepted the invitation and we put AACD at Trending Topics Brazil at Twitter.
-
Campaigns with the Unique Types have already reached 30 million people, spreading a message against the prejudice endured by disabled people.
